Double Choc Mud Scones

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups almond meal

  • 1/4 cup hemp flour*

  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar

  • 1/2 cup greek style yogurt

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 3 tbsp cacao powder

  • handful of chopped dark chocolate

* if you don't have hemp seed flour you could swap this out for coconut flour

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees celsius

  2. Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl - almond meal, hemp flour, coconut sugar, baking powder & cacao powder

  3. Mix the greek yogurt and vanilla in a small bowl and add to the dry mixture by gently mixing to form a dough

  4. Gently fold in chopped dark chocolate

  5. Form dough into thick circle shapes and place on a lined baking tray

  6. Bake in preheated oven for 20 mins

  7. Serve warm and store in an air tight container
