ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS GE GAVE TO ME… A GINGERBREAD BLISS BALL RECIPE
Instead of gingerbread cookies why not try gingerbread bliss balls… such a yummy idea for the Christmas dessert table or as a snack this festive season. I also made these last year and put them in little jars as gifts for all of my work friends – everyone loved them & they are all asking me for the recipe this year so here it is!
YOU WILL NEED:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 cup almond meal
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp ginger
- 5 pitted medjool dates
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp almond butter
Instructions:
- Soak medjool dates in a small bowl of hot water whilst you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor (including the dates and a small amount of the hot water) and blend until mixture is combined. If your mixture is too dry – add more hot water and if it is too wet add more oats or almond meal.
- Remove mixture from the blender and roll into balls.
- You can add some shredded coconut to the outside of these bliss balls or just leave them plain and store in the fridge.
These are vegan and can be made GF by swapping out the oats for GF oats or extra almond meal**
